At Smoqua this year (October 15^th -17^th 2020) in Rijeka, all visitors will have the opportunity to engage in several interesting workshops: from making activist jewellery, self-sustainable funding for feminist organisations and initiatives, on tactics for creative forms of protesting to sex toys. We cordially invite everyone with an open hearts and minds to Palach to develop their creative abilities and learn something on these topics under guidance of experts that conduct workshops.

Lesbian Organisation Rijeka LORI, in collaboration with PaRiter, From the Citizens to Their City, and Centre for Women’s Studies (University of Rijeka), invites you to join us in celebrating diversity, love, art and activism from Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th October 2020 in Rijeka.

Due to the fear from violence and rejection, LGBTI persons often hide their sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, which brings along many other problems. Hiding, being constantly on alert, disrupted social contacts - lead to increased loneliness and stress. The research done by European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights

Smoqua is the first festival of queer and feminist culture in Rijeka, Croatia, organised by Lesbian Organisation Rijeka LORI in collaboration with organisation PaRiter, artist platform From the Citizens to Their City and Center for Women's Studies of faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka. From October 15^th to October 17th 2020 we will host 30+ activists and artists from more than ten countries from three continents:

Every young person has the right to education without fear of condemnation, violence and/or discrimination. Safe school environment is an important foundation for students' psychosocial and professional development. Therefore, all relevant actors in the field of education should be actively involved in ensuring an inclusive and anti-discriminatory educational system.
