Public event Advancing Psychosocial Support for LGBTIQ+ Persons

LORI invites you to a public event 'Advancing Psychosocial Support for LGBTIQ+ Persons' in Rijeka, on July 14, 2022, starting at 11:00 AM, at the RiHub (Ivana Grohovca 1/a).

The event is relevant to mental health professionals (school counsellors, crisis hotline operators, employee assistance programs counsellors, social workers, and clinical psychologists), as well as to representatives of relevant institutions, organisations working in mental health and civil society organisations. The speakers are experts from LORI and professionals with many years of experience in the topics: dr. sc. Jasminka Juretić and mr. spec. Iva Žegura, prof. Additionally, the Innovative approaches to training mental health service providers for the quality support of LGBTQI people - Handbook for trainers and e-learning platform for professionals in the social and mental care system will be presented.

Public event is part of the project '“Common Point - Innovative approaches to training mental health service providers for the quality support of LGBTQI people', funded by the EU through the Erasmus+ program. The project is implemented by organizations from four European countries (Háttér Társaság from Hungary, Single Step Foundation from Bulgaria, Prague Pride from Czech Republic and Lesbian Organisation Rijeka - LORI), to increase the knowledge, skills, and cultural competencies of mental health professionals for working with LGBTIQ individuals.
